Scholastic Rodent was founded by Ryan Cranfill to make things that use modern technology to solve complicated challenges. He has over a decade’s worth of experience as a software and data practitioner. Prior to starting Scholastic Rodent, he spent 5 years as a consulting data scientist and software designer at global design firm IDEO and Datascope Analytics (which was acquired by IDEO in fall 2017), and before that worked as a data scientists and analyst for several startups. 

He has helped solve gnarly problems for clients big (including a handful of the Fortune 100) and small (pre-series A startups, non-profits), in a wide variety of industries (mobility, retail, education, healthcare, and more). He prides himself on writing code that is scrappy enough to establish quick feedback loops yet robust enough to serve as a basis for further expansion and development.

In his free time, Ryan enjoys exploring Chicago in search of delicious food and drink, and playing music (some of it is even listenable!).
